Acting together: celebrating success

Health and safety law in the UK has been 200 years in the making, and for 60 of these years RoSPA has encouraged organisations to share their success across the world. Through the awards network, RoSPA influences health and safety standards affecting almost 2.5 million employees globally, a real contribution to reducing the impact of work-related injuries and ill-health. When organisations enter our awards they tend to stay part of our vibrant awards community, pivotal in improving health and safety standards, wherever you work and live.

Good H&S = Good Business

So why do organisations take the time to engage with our awards? Well, simply put, ‘Good Health and Safety is Good Business’. Our awards winners proactively seek to engage with our awards network to keep motivated about driving change within their business. They use our awards ceremony and dinner to recognise the collective efforts of employees who successfully engage with health and safety.

A reservoir of expertise

Companies which seek to achieve excellence in health and safety performance represent a considerable reservoir of commitment and expertise which RoSPA channels to help raise awareness and standards in workplaces from Birmingham to Bahrain. The RoSPA Guardian Angel Awards also give you the chance to recognise safety champions within the local community and give them the recognition they deserve. These unique awards celebrate the work of individuals who have gone ‘above and beyond’ to improve the safety of others.

2017 marks a momentous year for RoSPA as we celebrate our prestigious health and safety awards alongside our centenary year. The longevity and undisputed reputation of RoSPA and the Awards scheme is just one of the key reasons it has been recognising and celebrating excellence in safety performance longer than any other in the industry. When it comes to health and safety our award winners all have the same end in mind as RoSPA, to save lives and reduce injuries and lead the way on accident prevention.
