350 exhibitors, 15,000 safety professionals and only 3 days. That’s not to mention the stellar list of guest speakers, the IOSH 2015 conference or the annual RoSPA Awards
If you’ve visited the Safety and Health Expo before, you’ll know that there’s an awful lot to see and do and not a great amount of time in which to do it. If you’re new to the Expo, then you may be feeling a little overwhelmed by the sheer scale of it all.
This problem is one of the reasons why RoSPA are once again running Stop ‘n’ Learn taster sessions throughout all three days of the Expo. These sessions are just 15 minutes long, giving you the chance to take the weight off your feet, but still giving you plenty of time to look round the rest of the venue.
So what can you look forward to when you Stop ‘n’ Learn?
Your route to CMIOSH: NEBOSH Diploma vs. NVQ (11:00)
You want to achieve CMIOSH status, but you’re not sure which path to go down. It can be a difficult decision between a NEBOSH Diploma and an NVQ. Do you want to take exams? How much time and money do you want to spend? Do you want a practical assessment? This presentation will outline the pros and cons of your two main options helping you make an informed decision.
CDM Regulations: the legal lowdown (12:00)
You’ve heard about the new regulations, but do you know it all? What are the changes? When is it all happening? And most importantly what do you need to do? This short taster session will help make sure you’re in the know.
Safety Training: Get the boss’ buy-in? (13:00)
“If you think health and safety is expensive, try having an accident,” it’s an old saying, but one that still rings true today. This session discusses the real reasons why employers should manage their health and safety risks, as well as looking at the business benefits of adopting a ‘beyond compliance’ approach.
NEBOSH Practical: Maximum marks, minimum stress (14:00)
To many people, it’s the most daunting and intimidating part of the entire NEBOSH Diploma, but it doesn’t have to be that way. With the right planning and the right guidance you can achieve maximum success in this unit!
RoSPA Awards: Reach new heights (15:00)
The RoSPA Awards are the safety industry’s longest running and most recognised awards scheme. If you’re not receiving an award this year come down and find out what the RoSPA Awards are all about. If you’re receiving a Silver or Bronze award then this presentation will reveal what you need to do to turn that into Gold.
