Manual Handling TipsAs our previous post on MSD statistics showed, an estimated 11.6 million working days a year are lost to work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders. One of the most common causes of these injuries is poor manual handling– in fact, more than a third of all reported workplace injuries which result in someone being off work for more than three days are caused by manual handling!

Moving and handling in a people handling environment is more challenging, as poor manual handling techniques not only contribute to musculoskeletal injury, but has the potential to cause injury and loss of dignity of the individual being moved.
